The Anthropologist
All people are endowed with reason, rationality is a peculiar malaise. Whenever someone asks - what is the rational thing to do? Run away! Rationality is the voodoo of our times, with an updated lexicon, that's all. There is no cure for this blind submission to slavery. Symptoms of a rational mind: 1. Work all life, watch dating shows, and never meet someone in life because the stakes are too high. 2. When a friend asks you to hang out, reply, I am not free. Because you literally are not free if you cannot hang out with your friends. 3. Keep your head low because to speak up is to jeopardise a position. This way, while you may survive for long, it is the survival of a dead thing anyway, the living passed away long ago. This is called the preservation of fossils as fossils. 4. Maths, physics, arts, aesthetics, beauty, faith, are all irrational. That is the meaning of life except for where it has gone extinct. Dead things are rational indeed. 5. The frontier spirit eventually crosses the final frontier - death. 6. A certain idea of influence - buy a car, build a home, erect a fence, be afraid to walk on the streets and talk to people. 7. Rob others, hire security to protect your loot, and feel insecure - the loop is complete.
As someone said about democracy - great idea, never been tried! 1. Political parties, being tiny autocracies eventually produce an all-enhulfing autocracy. 2. All leaders claim to be the voice of the people but not ears to them. If they are not listening to anyone, whose ideas are they procaliming to implement? 3. Why is an idea born in the head of a man applied on to so many? Still, they speak of democracy.
All human inventions are stillborn. Come to think of it, we have not created a simple living being. All our inventions are dead. Maybe, that's why we want so badly to create an artificial intelligence. In our desire, we have created something separate from nature. Seedling germinate, shoots sprout, a plant grows, a giant tree stands, all in the same spot of earth, never homeless, aware of its roots, and others. We wanted to be free, untethered to a patch of earth, we wanted to roam the world, and nature set us free to roam. We tied ourselves to a small patch of earth searching for food, water and breath before we become one with it again. The only living creation of humanity: 1. A mother makes her child in her own flesh and blood. It is for a brief spac that we experince the full power of nature and life-giving consciousness. 2. We are born from labour - our mother's - and sustained by labour. Those who labour not, steal life and sustenance from their fellow beings. It is the biggest theft of all. 3. Knowing thus, you know who the true gluttens are.
Before it bursts, even a bubble is sure of itself. Why are not the arts promoted? Because it can remake the world. Art is possessed and exhibited in museums once it can safely be consigned to memory and loses the living charge that can set off a dynamite.
Why do you utter enunditities like they are profundities? Better be quiet, hanven't you spoken enough of nothingness? There are no moral judgements, only ideological commitments. You may or may not be aware of them. Underneath all the ritual and romance, humans breathe, eat, drink, piss, shit, fart, sometimes throw up, chase sex and produce new humans. Society, culture, philosophy and politics are all stories to hide the banality of who we are and why we must repeat these tasks tens of thousands of times, day in and day out, season after season, after so many revolutions of the sun. Life is a nightmare whose choosing we have forgotten, but having been born no longer have a choice in the matter.
